How to Go to Cabadbaran City (via Nasipit)

If you’re traveling via Cebu ferry, you can reach Cabadbaran City through the nearest port, Nasipit. Starlite Ferries offers Agusan del Norte RoRo trips twice a week every Sunday and Tuesday, 6:00 PM.

 

  1. Book your tickets online via Chelsea Travel App or the official website. You can also visit any ticket outlets accredited by Starlite Ferries.

NOTE: Vehicle, container van, and heavy equipment booking is also available for this route.

  1. Arrive at the port at least three (3) hours before your scheduled departure.
  2. Present your printed e-ticket voucher and a valid photo ID to receive your actual ticket.
  3. Board the vessel at the designated pier. 
  4. Disembarkment at the Port of Nasipit. Take a tricycle going to Nasipit Bus Terminal.
  5. Ride either a bus or mini bus going to Butuan City. Rides from Butuan to Cabadbaran are at Langihan or Ampayon Terminal.
  6. Take another bus, mini bus, UV express, or jeepney going to Cabadbaran City.

  • Tumipi Cold Spring

Surround yourself with turquoise waters, large rocks, and towering mountains at Tumipi Cold Spring. It’s a well-known Cabadbaran City tourist spot that locals and visitors frequent for a wholesome nature escape. They offer life jackets for rent, snacks, budget-friendly cottages, and of course, a wide rock pool. The entrance fee is just 20 pesos, perfect for an affordable getaway.

  • Calo Nature Park

Looking for family-friendly activities and picnic areas? Calo Farm is a Cabadbaran City tourist spot blooming with a vibrant green blanket, tall trees, and fresh air. For a minimal entrance fee, you can access an outdoor activity area, playground, garden, art installations, pool, and even a zoo.   • Caasinan Beach

Further up the same road to Tumipi is Lusong Cold Spring in Barangay Puting Bato. This hidden gem has massive boulders where you can jump off or sunbathe. The rushing water flows down several tiers that makes the entire area look like a giant kawa or cauldron. Swim and dive in the chilly water with your family or barkada. For a small entrance fee of 10 pesos, this cool river can be your rejuvenating escape from the hot summer months. 

  • Paseohan / Puting Bato View Deck

The modern, elegant, and picturesque Paseohan View Deck just opened in 2025. This new tourist spot in Cabadbaran City features wide, wheelchair-accessible walkways, overlooking a breathtaking vista of mountains and the vibrant nature that surrounds the city. It is complete with visitor facilities like a parking lot, comfort room, and even a coffee shop where you can unwind while enjoying the view.

  • Rosedale’s Kapehan

Looking for an instagrammable spot away from all the noise? Stop by Rosedale’s Kapehan in Sitio Tumipi to warm up after your cold spring visit. This humble roadside cafe and Cabadbaran City tourist spot boasts an amazing view of the mountains, a small man-made pond, a couple swing, and multiple outdoor photo spots. Their vast view also makes it a great place for birdwatching. As for refreshments, they don’t just serve coffee, but also food like salads, sandwiches, rice meals, and pasta.

 

  • Mt. Hilong-Hilong

Did you know that the highest peak in the CARAGA region is a famous Cabadbaran tourist spot? Mt. Hilong-hilong stands tall at around 2,012 meters above sea level. It is also part of the sprawling Diuata Mountain Range, which you can gaze at from the town proper. Hikers and mountaineers can enjoy an exciting trek, as the mountain is covered in lush forests, stunning major waterfalls, and caves (many undiscovered!), and endemic flora and fauna, including the Philippine Eagle. 

  1. Sumobay Tugnaw River

Stop by for a cool, refreshing dip at River Tugnaw in Barangay Mahaba. This rushing river flows from the top of Mt. Hilong-hilong, making it a relaxing nature getaway and stopover when exploring. It is also accessible from the highway. This tourist spot in Cabadbaran City has a small riverside resort where you can rent a cottage for longer stays. The entrance fee is 10 pesos, while cottages range from 150 to 200 pesos.

  • Zackie’s Coffee House

This ancestral home turned coffee shop will surely take you back in time! After visiting your last Cabadbaran tourist spot, head on over to Domicilio De Villanueva, E. Curato St. to chill and wind down over dinner. Enjoy a cup of coffee, one of their mouthwatering dishes, or baked goods. The best thing about this place are the vibes and aesthetics. The well-preserved heritage home is tranquil, offering a rich blend of modern and antique comfort that is definitely worth checking out.
