Thursday, April 19, 2018, M/V Starlite Archer departs Allen Port, Northern Samar, making the trip the maiden voyage for Starlite Ferries’ newest route, Matnog, Sorsogon – Allen, Samar. Earlier this year, Starlite Ferries started dropping hints about their newest route; until it was officially announced this month.
Celebration of the Maiden Voyage
A motorcade was held to celebrate the maiden voyage of this new Visayas route at Allen port early that morning. Mayor Rod Suan of Allen, Northern Samar also participated in the event and welcomed M/V Starlite Archer to their town.
The Mayor also got the chance to get on board and tried the vessel’s new amenities and witness firsthand the Starlite experience.
As part of the celebration, Mayor Suan prepared and invited the crew to have lunch with him.
Meanwhile, Councilor Macoi Aragon of Allen Northern Samar shared and expressed his satisfaction about his very first Starlite Ferries Matnog-Allen trip experience through his Facebook account. He mentioned how comfortable his trip was, took photos of himself while riding the ferry, and enthusiastically recommends it to other travelers.
