Cebu Cargo Shipping Services

There are many types of cargo shipping in Cebu, but three particular options are most frequently used by businesses big and small. Get to know your options below:

Express Cargo Courier

Urgent and lightweight Cebu cargo shipment should be sent through express courier services. This includes documents, small, medium, and large boxes, and parcels. Express shipping is a much faster option compared to other standard services. In fact, express cargo via ferry is dispatched immediately on the next trip, and is delivered within 24 hours or less.

Rolling Cargo / RoRo

Vehicles, heavy equipment, and container vans bound for Cebu are loaded onto roll-on/roll-off or RoRo vessels. These ships are built with sturdy ramps and a large vehicle hold, where vehicles are driven and secured for the entire voyage. RoRo shipment is an essential service for passengers who are traveling with a car or motorcycle, and for businesses that require inter-island travel (e.g. logistics services, raw materials transport, long-distance buses).

Container Shipping

Container shipping is a more versatile Cebu cargo shipping option. It allows for full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) shipment. This means you have the choice to ship cargo using an entire container or to consolidate your shipment with others’ in one. Standard containers can fit a variety of loose, packaged, palletized cargo, and even heavy machinery. This is ideal for businesses that ship large volumes of goods at a time.

Types of Cargo to Ship to and from Cebu

Here are the different types of cargo that you can ship using express courier, RoRo, and container shipping.

  1. Boxes, Documents, and Parcels – Lightweight cargo ranging from small, to medium, to an excess of 5kg.

Business Benefits of Cebu Cargo Shipping

Not only is Cebu a major link between islands, but it is also a strategic gateway to attaining various benefits of cargo shipping.

  • Cost-Efficient Shipping

Sea cargo shipping in Cebu is significantly more budget-friendly than air cargo. It allows you to ship large volumes of agricultural goods and heavy equipment at a reasonable cost. This also comes with mandatory insurance per declared value, which protects you from potential financial losses.

  • Scalable Network of Port Links

Due to the nationwide network of most Cebu cargo shipping services, even businesses with inadequate physical presence can access wider markets in neighboring provinces. Cebu is also a central economic hub, which means unlike smaller ports, the major shipping companies can ship to even smaller islands across the country.

  • Flexible Cebu Cargo Options

Any business owner can choose from the variety of cargo services discussed above. You have the liberty to explore options that best suit your goals, such as RoRo shipping for heavy equipment, or parcel delivery for priority, but lightweight products.

  • Stable, Reliable, and Predictable Delivery

Your cargo is handled and transported using various specialized equipment, and delivered on-time with predictable schedules. By partnering with a reliable Cebu cargo shipping company, you gain access to expert insight and care throughout every stage of the voyage.
